Upon entering this Windward Oahu library, patrons may turn on their notebook/laptop computer or wireless device and start surfing (device with 802.11b or 802.11g wireless networking required). Patrons may access the Internet from any table or chair within the library and are not limited to the normal computer areas.

Caution and discretion are strongly advised when sending or receiving confidential information over the Internet since this Wi-Fi service is unsecured. Users must agree to abide by the HSPLS House Rules, Internet Acceptable Use Policy and all other relevant policies.

Patrons should bring a diskette or USB memory device to save their documents since printers are not part of this service. They may use a library computer to print documents from a public-access printer.

The Kaneohe Public Library is the second public library in the State to offer free Wi-Fi service. In a successful pilot project last year, the Salt Lake-Moanalua Public Library was the first library to launch this highly-requested service for its patrons.
